No, they are not. The 1989 SHO and the 1989-1990 Supercoupe Thunderbird use
one number. Motorcraft # DY-554

The 1990-1995 SHO MTX and ATX, 1991-1993 Supercoupe Thunderbird use another.
Motorcraft #DY-958 (New Number), DY-655 (Old Number).

I don't know if they will interchange but from Ford they were different. The
Supercoupe for 1994-1995 used another DIS!

Has anybody used the later DIS on the 1989? Or why the difference in the
first place?
