When the Lowrider was painted its white pearl in 1996 or whenever it was, we took it
ALL the way apart (front and rear lights, bumpers, cladding...everything)....even
took the windows out of the doors. It was down for over 6 months. The only masking
we had to do, other than to keep the paint out of the inside and away from the
engine, was the windshield and back window. I didn't take the rear quarter windows
out myself...the painter did that. I tried taking them out of a good SLO I found at
the PnP that had the blue interior...I have all the parts I could get from it to
keep SLorider looking nice inside....and they were TOUGH! I had to give up...they
were on their way to being ruined. I guess there is a trick to it. I'd better
learn it, as that plus is out there, and the black car is coming home.

Also, the rear windows in the SLO at the yard had the chrome trim. I don't remember
if the doors had it or not....they must have. That's something to keep in mind for
the next time a good SLO shows up at the yard. The giveaway would be the fact that
the VIN would indicate it is a '90.
