[Shotimes] HELP with rear view mirror replacement

This seems trivial enough, but it's got me baffled.  The repair manual
says something about a set screw, which I've seen on the rear-view
mirrors for other cars (I've replaced quite a few, actually), but I sure
can't find one on my SHO.

There's a tiny slot where the mirror attaches to the silver base.  I've
tried poking around there, but to no avail.

Can someone please tell me how to remove my mirror?!?
