[Shotimes] Fuel Pressure Gauge Install

Is it practical to permanently mount a fuel pressure gauge directly on the
engine in my SHO?  Or, is the normal approach to screw the gauge temporarily
onto the Schraeder valve fitting on the fuel rail? The former seems
preferable if it can be readily accomplished.  Any experience?

For the screw-on gage arrangement, what type of thread is required on the
gage to mount to the Schraeder valve fitting?
