[Shotimes] 97 SHO with Problems

My 97 SHO exhibits a problem when hot, typically starts like a engine miss,
but can get to where rpm fluctuates from low idle to high. Car will lurch
forward, stop, lurch, stop. Also, its difficult to restart or keep running
when exhibiting the problem. It will correct itself if the engine is allowed
to cool down.

First took to Ford dealer and code indicated a bad MAF sensor. They replaced,
and I drove it for several days but noticed miss came back, eventually
resulting in same problem of engine changing from high to low rpm. Next took
to mechanics that work on SHO's, and left car for several weeks. They tested
all sensors, and could not get a fix. They tried replacing the computer, and
that did not fix the problem. Gave up.

Not sure what to look at or who to go to next. All comments appreciated.
