If you're going to drive to the store and come back to the heated garage it
probably won't hurt. If you're going to work 8 hrs then start it in an
unheated garage, it isn't doing the engine any good. Actually, it probably
isn't doing your engine a favor any time, warm or cold.
Why are you running 10w30 in your car? 5w30 is recommended and some use 0w30
in cold weather. They say start up is the time most engine wear occurs and
getting that 10 weight moving and up to the cams, etc, particularily in cold
weather, has got to be tough.
