[Shotimes] RE: [Shotimes] Driving in -10oF with 10w-30 oil

Hey, hey, hey!

Don't shoot the messenger. I'm just trying to explain where people get
the ideas for using 10W-30. Not endorsing the idea at all.

I just checked 2 owners manuals, the one for my wife's Rodeo and the one
for my sister's Civic. Both indicate that 10W-30 is acceptable down to
0 degrees F. I don't have a SHO manual to check.

Later, and thanks for the flame. Luckily I had my fireman's hat on.

Flame mode on.

That is some of the dumbest reasoning I have ever heard. No wonder I
don't hang out on the SHO Forum.

"It doesn't drip down as fast". When the motor is turned off, the oil is
at it's 30 viscosity, just like my 0W-30 so we both drip just as fast.

"Less modifiers". Buy a good oil or change every 3,000 miles and this
won't matter.

"10W-30 is good down to 0 or so". Not according to my manual. It says
freezing is the cutoff.

Flame mode off.
