[Shotimes] Question about Eastwood tools

Bill,
I bought the Eastwood spot weld cutter.
There are two types and two sizes.
One type just cuts a ring around the weld, this is like a
tiny hole saw.
The other type, the one I got, is like a flat tipped drill
bit. Has a little tip to help you get started, then it
takes out the weld and leaves a hole. Saves you a step in
my opinion.
I got the bigger of the two sizes, and I think it is the
right size if you don't want to spend time with a chisel
getting the strut plate loose after making the cut. Mine
worked just right, with the spot weld virtually ALL gone,
and leaving almost zero work to get the plate loose. The
fact that I still had to pry on it a bit means I think I got
the right size.
After you are through, you might want to use a file on the
holes in the place, and a smooting grinder on the strut
tower to make things look better, but all I did was put some
touch up paint on the areas to keep them from rusting. They
look fine.
