I agree with Don. Just because it would be a time-consuming, costly job 
doesn't mean he shouldn't do it! I'd love to see a RWD Taurus. IIRC, Chevy 
had a RWD LT-1 Monte Carlo SS concept back when the MOnte reappeared in the 
mid-90s. This is one of those "never built but shoulda been" kind of things.

I say do it, and don't be a pussy about it! If I had the $$$ I'd already 
have a MTX conversion by now!
