This code means: No Reference Voltage at LH Front inlet valve. This is a
electrical problem and NOT hydraulic. It could be a wiring problem in the
harness or the valve body itself has the incorrect resistance. Somebody on
the list opened up and repaired the HCU valve body, maybe they will jump in?
To check the resistance of the valve and harness requires a breakout box and
a ABS test adapter. Pretty expensive items!
Now you can check the HCU valve body directly by unplugging the connector
and checking resistance between pins 17 and 7. Should measure 5-8 ohms. If
it does then you have a wiring problem. If it does not then the problem is
in the valve body itself. You might get lucky if you just make and break the
electrical connections. The connectors build resistance as they age and just
plugging and unplugging can get you a better connection.
I fixed a airbag light the same way. I measured the circuit resistance and
it was fine. After plugging all the cables back together my light went away!
Otherwise I think the dealer will need to get involved!
No bleeding will not help.
