Could I get opinions of the value of my 1993 SHO with 160K on it?
It had a NEW ATX installed last summer along with the replacement of ALL
hoses. When the ATX was replaced, the rear seal was also done and now I have
NO oil leaks.
I was tuned by Doug Lewis in October 1999 at 110K and also received a new
radiator, font seal, and re-seal of the oil pan at that time. It has sub
frame connectors by Doug and heat grooved rotors also by Doug front and
REAR. It has the upgraded D4U1 computer (the LPM has been pulled as I got
an error code that the EPROM had failed).
Yesterday I had the starter rebuilt. It has also had the springs cut and the
shocks replaced per specs by Doug Lewis (which lowered it about a 1/2 inch)
and the rear brake proportioning value has been adjusted to make the car
sink on heavy braking instead of nose diving.
It has a Clifford Concept 20 alarm on it with all the features including
dome light, trunk pop, smart windows and security by only unlocking the
drivers door when unarmed (if you push a second button the rest of the locks
can be opened). I also put a bra on it last fall to cover some chips in the
hood.
I has a "stompin" stereo in it that I figure is worth $1000 but if no one
wants to pay the extra I will pull it out before I let it go with the "price
of the car." It has an Eclipse 5506 head unit (8 volts out at 55 ohms),
Xtant 3300 amp, Precision Power DE230 Equalizer, custom crossovers feeding a
3-speaker Eclipse set up in the front ( 7" in the doors and custom kick
panel pods with a 5 1/4 and tweet), the factory crossovers feed Eclipse 5
1/4's that have replaced the rear speakers and the bass is provided by a 10"
Kicker Solobaric in a custom box that is mounted the same way the factory
bass was. The rear deck has been cut to allow the bass into the interior.
The rear deck top and bottom has been sound deaden by DynaMat as have been
the inside skin of the front doors along with the door panels and the part
of the door that the panel pops onto.
I am moving toward an F150 pickup as I am a big man and am not getting any
younger. Also with today economy the car has been relatively expensive to
maintain during the last 18 months. It is really hard on my knees to "climb"
out of the SHO. I figure up can step up into the p/u and the slide out.
This change of vehicles is planned for around May of 2004 IF everything
continues as it is now.
The car REALLY shines up good with some elbow grease and polish.
Thanks to ALL who response with their opinions. . .
