 Did you try it soon after shutting the engine down? The best is the first
cold start in the morning. Your car started because some fuel was still in
the chambers. Remember, once the engine actually catches and you are not in
crank mode, the injectors are working along with everything else! It takes
very little fuel to get the engine to actually "fire". Only one or two drips
of fuel after shutdown are enough to get the engine to kick to life. Try
letting the car sit a couple of days and see what happens.
