It depends.  If you elongate the hole just enough that the bar will barely
fit it snugs the nut right up against the interior edge of the hole.  Since
the two strut towers never try seperating themselves, but only push into
eachother in turns, this does not depend on friction, but the wall of the
hole in the bar.  I'm not sure I wrote that as easy to udnerstand as the
picture I have in my head. : )
