[Shotimes] I need a Ring gear

Never is a long time, and I usually avoid saying it. But I have never seen
a ring gear go bad, that didn't have lots of grinding/abuse immediately
prior. It is going to be a lot of trouble to drop everything and change it,
only to discover there is some other strange gremlin at work here. And
while it seems you have covered everything, I can't help but think something
was missed. What exactly are the symptoms? If the bendix is working, the
gear will shoot forward; it has to hit the ring gear in that case. If it
sits there just grinding, there are two options: either it isn'g going far
enough, and grinding on the edge of the gear, or it goes in all the way and
grinds on the worn out ring gear. Highly unlikely. I assume this your MTX;
have you turned the engine a few degrees to get a different spot on the
flywheel? Wish I had a better suggestion; but I've seen too many old
flywheels that looked like crap but still would engage and work ok.
