[Shotimes] poor starting

Along with the other suggestions, you could try this.
Fully depress the gas pedal (aka accelerator) and hold it down while you
turn the key to start. If this helps, it could be that you're cylinders
become flooded due to a leaky injector (or even injectors). Holding
down the pedal cuts off the injectors, so it uses the "leaked" fuel to
fire.
Good luck,

Subject: [Shotimes] poor starting
I have a 93 ATX that is having problems starting. It usually cranks for
5-6 seconds and either starts or I back off of the ignition. If I back
off and retry it starts right away. I have replaced the fuel filter and
crank shaft position sensor. I looked at the archives and saw something
about a barometer sensor? The info was confusing for the ATX. It does
somethimes start right away ( 10 % of the time ).
Any ideas?
thanks in advance
