No...not quite that much. The original one went 135K, and it was just fine when it
came out in about 1997....coulda gone another couple of years. That particular job
caused the crank cancer that ate the crankshaft, and was fixed in Jan of 2001. It
had 180K miles then. I changed it again, with a full 60K front service (and all
sensors), so that I wouldn't have to worry about it any more. (The Ford dealer
installed it upside down, so that it could be read from the front of the engine, at
the right fender.) At 201K, I did the valves, first change of wires, and second of
plugs, in April of 2001, and did the bearings and my finger in June of 2001, at
about 210K. That set of bearings was to be, and hopefully still is, the last
servicing that engine will ever get, other than oil and filter changes. It got a
rear seal and retainer gasket with its hopefully last clutch change in October of
2000, with its first ceramic TOB. Hopefully, that's all there is to break or fail.
