Well, I got it all put back together last night.  Cut the tab off the old
strut to get it out.  Opened up the split in the bolt in the pinch so it
would pinch.  Went back together pretty slick.  Had the wife on the
prybar so I could get it back in.

In the midst of all this, I replaced the original springs with some from
a '93.  An ATX I believe it was.  The car now sits almost an inch higher
in the front.  Does that make sense?  The car wasn't sagging before,
so it's not that.  I'm hoping they'll find some glaring error on my part
at the alignment shop, and it will at least go back to where it was before
all this mess.  Is the MTX possibly that much lighter that it would do 
this?
