[Shotimes] my strut saga

Yes, the ATX is heavier. I recall at least a 100#s, but we haven't had this
discussion in awhile.
The other thing (but I'm sure you would have seen it if you did) is that my
former '95 sat really high in the front. When I pulled the stock struts, one
strut mount was cockeyed on the strut. This raised the front end. The
Koni/Eibachs then dropped the front a full inch.
Mike, I will send you a PDF file that someone posted to the list awhile back
with the front spring rates. There are some H springs for the Taurus out
there.

Well, I got it all put back together last night. Cut the tab off the old
strut to get it out. Opened up the split in the bolt in the pinch so it
would pinch. Went back together pretty slick. Had the wife on the
prybar so I could get it back in.
In the midst of all this, I replaced the original springs with some from
a '93. An ATX I believe it was. The car now sits almost an inch higher
in the front. Does that make sense? The car wasn't sagging before,
so it's not that. I'm hoping they'll find some glaring error on my part
at the alignment shop, and it will at least go back to where it was before
all this mess. Is the MTX possibly that much lighter that it would do
this?
