Well you could lock the doors and make sure he doesn't get in it. However I don't think the SHO clutch and trans. are all that fragile so it should do OK. You can teach him yourself so he doesn't do anything that will really damage it, such as riding the clutch or shifting improperly.
My daughter just turned 15 and has decided that I need to teach her to drive a standard trans. using my 90 SHO (160k miles).
