[Shotimes] A/C Lines

I just looked again at www.fordpartsnetwork.com.
search on 95 Taurus
Drier to evaporator hose, 92-95SHO, $ 37.08
Evaporator to compressor hose, 94-95SHO, $308.23
search on 91 Taurus
Drier to evaporator hose, 89-91SHO, $ 36.91
Drier to evaporator hose, 91SHO, $ 46.93
Evaporator to compressor hose, 91SHO, $136.07
(interesting - you're out of luck if you need a drier to evaporator for a
SLO, yet you have 2 choices for a SHO - I left out the SLO results)
So, though my 96 brake conversion will be cheaper starting with a 95, I take
it in the shorts for the A/C - they did say the accumulator or something was
built into the hose I need. So, with time of the essence at T-minus 6 days
and 20 hours to leave for Madison to tour Performance Plus, and free freon
fill if I let them do the work, I told them to order it and call me when it
arrived - at which point they told me they weren't sure if they would have a
slot for me before next Monday. Sigh.
Ron D.
PS - just saw Kevin's post about the $102 part. Dang it. Well, then I
would have had to do the labor, and my luck would have ended up with me
driving the Windstar at Blackhawk Farms.

Sound like a hosing to me there are only 2 lines from the evap, one has the
orifice and the other is the dryer. don't know if they are much different
from a 92 but my Ford dealer charged me $186 for both last month.

Today, the dealer gave them the wrong part, and the right one is another
$100. Autozone lists part 55641 for the "factory suction line" for $93.99,
Ford Parts Online and Ford Parts Network list a "evaporator to compressor
hose" for around $300. Anybody tell me if Autozone has the right hose for
my 95MTX? Crunch time for getting to Madison....
