Anybody have a CCRM to try in the Ames/Boone, IA, area for a 95MTX? Mr. Fitz, do you have one, and how much?
re the CCRM's all the same for all the years and tranny options?
The PO of this car told me the other day he got a 92, so maybe I could try that one if it would work.
Update: This morning I hooked the battery back up. It didn't start ticking or anything, temp gauge needle was still straight up, so I turned the key to "run" - no fuel pump noise, CE light is as bright or brigher as the others. I tried to start it and it did the same thing as last night; turned over very strong, it tried to start for few seconds and quit, tach never moved, turned the key off and the ticking and dancing lights started up. The CCRM on top of the radiator is ticking, along with something in the snakes (injectors?); I unplugged the larger of 2 connectors in the snakes next to the DIS and the ticking stopped, but a "hum" is coming from under the glove box (PCM?) and the warning lights are still dancing. I'm going out to disconnect the CCRM and see if the "hum" quits. The battery connections are good, but maybe another connetion has been disturbed. Don't understand how it would be fine for 3 miles from the mechanic, and now got to heck. Maybe I'll call the shop, too, to see if they have ideas.
