    We had a mascot (eagle) at Liberty University  when I was there (I knew
the guy, he was a nut) that used to get into pretty good fights with the
other schools mascots at the home basketball games.  Used to throw them on
the floor, dive on them, punch 'em, etc.  Student body loved it.  Had some
pretty serious brawls, guy got more cheers than the B-ball team.  One night
against a school from south carolina, they had a bulldog mascot.  4th qtr,
he goes over and opens up a can of whoop on the bulldog.  Tackled it, beat
on it, did a nice flying elbow WWF move in it, etc...then ripped the head
off the costume and it was a girl.  lol.  man the place went nuts.  They
fired the guy a few games later for doing something to a ref.  lol.  Guy was
a campus super-hero.
