Only one thing to add..

The instructors don't drive SHO's so they will tell you to go a lot deeper
that you would expect to. They don't have a clue how heavy the car is. This
happened to me at Summit Point my first time a few years ago, I stopped the
car told him to show me. So next time around MR Acura drove a bit too deep
and put it in to a huge spin.

Being your first time.. I would listen to Ron 100% he is very knowledgeable
and a good driver. A bit crazy but hey he's old so I let it slide :)

You will be in the touring or intermediate class, if you get an instructor
(not sure if they are having any) drive the car where you feel safe until
you feel its time to go faster. Also listen very good to the hand signals
portion of the meeting and you will be fine and have a great time.

And you can also ask some of the other guys to ride with you for
instruction, guys from our group will know the car a lot better than most.

I dunno how to "crive" your car!!!!!! ;-)

Very basically: Use the brakes in a straight line, use the gas pedal when
the wheel is turned. Well, it's OK to use the gas pedal in the straights,
also!!

You are better off scrubbing off more speed coming in to a corner, then
accelerate through it and out.

Use the brakes HEAVILY. Spend a minimum of time on the brake pedal. Brakes
are basically all on.....or all off. Gradual use of the pedal will slow down
your times, as well as cook your brakes (and brake fluid) much more quickly.

If you are in a curve/corner and you "think" you are going too fast, DO NOT
hit the brakes!! Preferable to maintain the gas pedal, or slowly accelerate.
At worst, GRADUALLY back off the gas. ANY sudden movement will "plow" the
front end, and a driving error will mean that we will have to hear more
about how a 24/26 combo sucks when it was really driver error (as it almost
always is).

Don't have a "death grip" on the steering wheel. Try to relax, and hold the
wheel lightly. You should be looking a few hundred feet ahead when on the
course......just like on the street.

When we take a tour around the track, and we sit I the driver's meeting, pay
attention to braking points, apexes, etc. Yeah, it won't mean much until you
get out there, but hopefully you remember some. Also, DON'T do what the car
in front of you is doing!! It is a natural tendency, but they may very well
be clueless.

And watch your rearview mirrors. When you get to a passing zone, let a car
(or cars) pass if they have been on you tail for at least 1/2 a lap.

So who out there is gonna teach me how to "crive" my car with a 24/26 setup
on the stock diff? I have no track experience, and need to learn the "right
way"
