I found the db's to be a premium tire that performed very well wet, dry
and packed snow/ice as well. No need to comment on real snow. Keep in
mind the following comparison was on the corner happy GENIII. The only
difference worth mentioning is that I can push the 100's a little bit
more on my favourite corners, not much but it is definitely there. The
db's I have are ~1/3 worn at 30k mostly highway kilometres, and are the
first generation db's first offered by Yokohama. You have the S2's,
might be some difference? I would not hesitate to buy them again. I
almost did but came across some winters and rims so a summer performer
seemed the way to go.

Are you saying you replaced the Db's with ES100's?
If so can you give us a quick comparison of the tires, both in the wet
and in dry?
(I just bought Db's myself)
