Is it possible to redo the foam seat cushion and keep the leather upholstery
intact? Or, can one buy a new bottom seat cushion? The previous owner of
my car must have been a big guy because when I got the car the seat was
soft, now it is even worse. I'd like a nice firm seat.

Joseph ,
"Look, I'm not trying to promote this swap to anyone else. I got lucky
getting these seats for a song, and in a daily driver, they are fine."
Walking gingerly are we! Everyone's is experiencing a building of
testosterone getting ready to go show off the SHO's this weekend <LOL>
I have a friend that runs a body shop and gets everything in there of all
shapes and sizes. I should have him look out for a set. My seats are total
shot after 4 years of living in FL, working beachside for 2.5 years. Those
seats would work as a nice exchange, I good learn to live without the
wonderful tilting headrest if I keep it to driving around town. Any long
trips then forget it! I drove the 2003 Trailblazer up to NY 2 weeks ago and
I missed those the most!
I now recall the nice extendable thigh support the 86' T-Bird TC had. Now
just image the perfect seat! I sat in a couple of nice road/race seats at
Kenny brown's shop in Indy, some of which I'd love to have just for the
comfort!

I put a couple of JPEGs up on http://home.centurytel.net/Sapphire-Designs
--- The Gen4 Sable seats are firm (good, new foam) and have some side
support, though not inflatable bolsters. That's not a concern for me
because when I autocross the car, I will temporarily transfer the Kirkey
racing seat from my other SHO.
--- The Sable driver seat has an adjustable lumbar support; however, it is
mechanical (operated by a big knob on the front of the seat), not
power-inflated. The passenger seat does not have adjustable lumbar.
--- Both seats have power for forward/back, front up/down, and rear up/down.
--- The headrests are adjustable for height but do not have the tilt
capability of SHO seats.
Look, I'm not trying to promote this swap to anyone else. I got lucky
getting these seats for a song, and in a daily driver, they are fine.

Would it be possible if you can take some pictures for us? That would be
great. I would like to see how it would look like, once installed on your
car.. :)

PS. What are the added benifits of the Gen3 and Gen4 seats other than being
newer and cleaner? Don't you loose the Side Bolsters and such? Just
curious.. Otherwise, I would love to upgrade as well.. :)
