I am a long time SHO fan and Ford Enthusiast. A few months back I purchased
my first SHO, a silver 1995 with 89k miles for $4500. The car was in
pristine condition. I was very happy to find a car in that condition for
the price. 6 weeks later I was hit by a very bad female driver. Pictures
can be seen here: http://www.kc2ena.com/images/accident/. After the
insurance paid for my loss I purchased a white 1993 with 140k miles for
$2000. No where near as nice of a car but it was cheap and I needed wheels
fast. After $1500 in suspension/brake parts and an alignment and this car
just does not drive like the 95 did. It's depressing actually. There's
nothing else to replace under the car and it it feels like I'm driving a
POS. The steering wheel rocks back and forth gently under medium to hard
acceleration. The car doesn't seem as stiff as the other one did. Braking
is not impressive, you can see and smell that they get way to hot. The
parts I purchased where mostly run of the mill parts except I made sure I
got decent struts (Monroe Sensitrac). Can I chalk up my problems as cheap
parts? I use products from the same store on all of my other cars with no
problems. I still have a valve cover, timing belt and tune up planned. I
spent 2 days running wires and installing my stereo system which also
involved pulling it from the 95. I hate doing things twice! I'm starting
to get disgusted with this car. I'm almost to the point of trying to sell
the car and hopefully breaking even. The only thing stopping me is the
aggravation of pulling the stereo system and dealing with more DMV bullshit.
I still have the 95 sitting in my drive way. I could fix it as there
doesn't seem to be any damage to the frame. I was hoping to eventually fix
it anyway and have both cars.

Thanks for listening to my story. Whatever I decide to do I hope I can find
some good information here.
