[Shotimes] Crank Seal ?

If you're so sure that you won't disturb the carrier gasket, go ahead and
just pull the rear main seal.  I don't know about you but I'd rather know
that the carrier seal was new also, rather than put everything back together
and find out a week later that the carrier gasket is leaking.  Worst case
senario not replacing it, you disturb the carrier gasket and end up with a
leak down the road and have to pull EVERYTHING again to change it.  Worst
case senario replacing it, you disturb the oil pan gasket and end up pulling
the y-pipe and oil pan to fix it.  Don't know about you but I'd go with the
latter for peace of mind and less chances of doing more work!  Pulling the
tranny isn't fun work, just ask me, I'm averaging almost 1 tranny pull per
month since March...
