Well, Gen 3s are getting older also, and suspension components may be nearly
as worn out as on an older car. Yes, the whole body structure is tighter due
to the one-piece side body panel, but dashboards, seats and other components
may still start the "rattle dance" as they age. As I mentioned, my '89 had
NO squeaks or rattles at the 10-year, 182K mark. Maybe unusual, but not
impossible.

Ian is right.. All the Gen 1 and 2 SHO are becoming rattle boxes.
You need one of these:
1. A Gen 1 or 2 with LOW mileage
2. Low Mileage car that has not been tracked or dragged
3. One that has lived below I-70 where the roads don't suffer from Frost
heaves and as many pot holes
4. A Gen 3
