[Shotimes] anti-lock light

Seems to me that it would have been straightforward for Ford to implement a
diagnostic for the ABS like was done for the EEC-IV, which is to say allow
the use of the ABS light in the dash to be used to flash codes.
But in general I'm surprised that there isn't more information about the ABS
generally available. I can understand the Ford service manuals to indicate
use of their own tools, but after all this time I would have thought someone
would have hacked a cheaper solution.

Although I have never checked, I would think that some of the larger
brake/muffler places would be able to read the ABS codes, as I would find it
hard to believe that Midas would send someone to a Ford dealer.

Carl:
The ABS codes can only be retrived with the Ford tool at the dealer. All
the ABS codes and troubleshooting is in the big Helm shop manual.
