[Shotimes] 225/50 via Tire Rack

They don't list the Modas for the Volvo, I tried. Using the bimmer that Kerby
listed, I can order the set using 225/50s tho.
I agree with you that 225/55s would be my preferred choice too. Still
thinking hard about those ROH Snypers...

The bizarre thing is that on the tirerack website, they let you pick 225s if
you go to 17" wheels (which I won't go for).

For any '91 or newer SHO with 16" wheels and 215/60/16 as standard, the
225/55/16 is fine, meaning ire Rack will allow you to order them (see my
load chart below). The issue is if you wanted 225/50/16s. You would have to
find a Volvo, or other, equivalent. Or don't order them as an assembled
combo. In Mark's case with the 225/50 race tires, he won't be ordering a
wheel/tire package. Personal opinion, but the 225/55/16 is a better choice
for street comfort, speedo error, and looks. Even with Eibachs, a 225/55
tire leaves more of a front fenderwell gap than I would like.

If the Moda R1 shows up for an appropriate Volvo (forget which models
offhand....Kegel??), you can order them that way.

So what would you recommend if one wanted to buy a tire/wheel package from
them. It seems I can't trick the online ordering system to select
225/55/16s
on say Moda R1 wheels (16x7.5). I'm guessing that the offset or the bolt
pattern for the Pontiac is a little different than the SHO because the Moda
R1
doesn't show up in the list of wheels for that car.
