You purchased the kit? If it was not performed on the car, Ford will do it
anytime for free! They HAVE TO

Subject: [Shotimes] Front Subframe Nuts
FINALLY! I got the subframe bolt that was frozen to break off, leaving
the small remaining piece of it and the nut inside the frame. The nut moved
out of the way with ease, and there appears to be no signs of the little
"tabs" that hold the nut in place (gone due to corrosion/rust).
I also purchased a subframe recall kit. I have the new nuts and bolts.
What I need to know, is do I need to come up with another method of securing
the subframe nut to the frame (remember this is the FRONT of the subframe,
not the rear where the recall would be done) or will the new nuts sit inside
without a problem and not spin? They look a lot beefier than the old one,
as well as a tad wider. As soon as this issue is taken care of, the '94
will be ready to get back on the road and see if the new clutch is any good
:) I am looking forward to ending this major ordeal. The '95 is going to
need clutch work soon enough, and it also needs cam seals done still to fix
its oil leak. That doesn't even touch on the TLC that the '91 PLUS is going
to need if I end up buying it!
Thanks,
Chris
