Don't get me wrong! I would love to be the driver and all, but my point is the change in NASCAR
has defied the purpose of what NASCAR was when it began as a stock car class, not a soap box oval
race that goes for hours upon no end with all these molded pieces of a plastic that look like a
little car shaped cholocate candy cover on my TV with wheels on it and a crap load of stickers.
And by stickers, i don't mean the advertisement, I mean the "body parts".. I can't remember the
last time I saw old style NASCAR with a plump piece of rubber on all four corners of a "sleek"
piece of plastic, with plastic enclosing it and plastic most likely holding it down as well....
However that goes... NASCAR never was what F1 (still) is. F1 Racing is the same sport they always
were. freak vehicles with crazy formations and sick little high revvin' motors. I'm not expecting
F1 racing to whip out a "toned down" stock Intrepid or anything like that. But that's what NASCAR
was, until they had the urge to just make shadow castings of what happens to have a car's name
that is mass produced... That's about it, just the name.
