I would like to get them powder coated.  In order to do that all of the
seals have to be removed form the caliper which would require dissaembly and
re-installation..  I would like to have spare materials on hand.

Why go through the hassle yourself? Get lifetime warranty Autozone ones
instead. I never even bother messing with screwing the piston in anymore. I
pop off the old calipers, go to Autozone and get new ones every time I need
to change my pads. I figure I'm there getting my replacement free pads
anyway.
