The OEM unit was indeed less costly. HD pressure plate for 9.75 clutch - HD
straps and rivets and 9-puck Fibertuff 9.75 clutch disc - round style are
the parts being installed.
The Mobil1 ATF is a lot less than some of the other synthetics. Maybe it's
worth a shot. I've heard claim that the synthetics promote smoother shifts.
Any suggestions for filling the MTX? Do I need to put pipe sealant tape on
the fill plug like the shop manual says either? Also, if all of the old
fluid isn't out (who knows if a little is lurking) will that be a problem if
it mixes with a synth?
