Mine are black (on the '94). The bad piece on mine is the rear vertical on
the driver's side back door, it's bubbling right at the bottom where it
mates with the bottom trim on the door.

Ron:
The bottom trim is easy to replace. Some people have found good pieces at
the junk yard. I replaced all 4 with new. There are the ones with the chrome
trim and the all black ones. Only two nuts and carefully pry up on the ends
to pop out the clips. I don't know if they are still available new but I
have these part numbers:
F4DZ-5421453-B Left Front chrome outer door belt Weather-strip
F4DZ-5421452-B Right Front chrome outer door belt Weather-strip
F14Y-5425597-A Left Rear chrome outer door belt Weather-strip
F14Y-5425596-A Right Rear chrome outer door belt Weather-strip
About $40 each for the fronts and about $50 each for the rears. I paid $30
and $35 through the discount Ford dealers.
.
.
They are still available. The fronts are now $50 list and about $40
discount. You can probably beat this price but I found them here:
