Did you lube the hell out of the strut mounts and bearings? If they bind,
then you'll get a sort of popping clunking noise when turning the wheel as
the coil springs get twisted and then POP loose. I've had this problem on
my car for a while, been too lazy to remove the front struts and re-lube
them. But then again this is one of the many many causes of front end
noise. If it was the swaybar endlinks you would see the problem while you
were under there.

P.S......To the rest of the list regarding my hiatus, my SHO took out two
deer, trashed the hood, removed the passenger headlight and bent the
radiator mount inward about 3 inches. Car drives fine (well as fine as it
did before, which was pretty shitty) and ultra cool now without the hood on
(barely even comes up on the gauge). I get a lot more looks now since the
car lacks a hood and showcases the engine well. I had an impreza RS driver
laugh and point at me at a light, and then I whooped him really bad and he
drove by while flicking me off. I guess I'd be mad too if a busted-ass 1991
Taurus whooped by brand new 2003 car. <G>

P.P.S......Consequently, if anyone knows of or is selling a Festiva or
Aspire, let me know. I think I'm going to rape this car of all it's goodies
and drop them in something smaller. I've still got a 3.0 for sale too, $500
takes it right now (I'll even deliver it if you're not more than 300 miles
away from 48103), but I'm willing to negotiate.
