Long story, but we have run enough with wind in both directions to
"guesstimate". In fact, Paul Nimz ran up here in MI with a 20 mph headwind,
then turned about .2 quicker in IL with no headwind.
Forget about anything resembling an optimal ET at the Convention. The
weather is always hot (as we have the strip during the middle of the day I
July). If you can run under 15 at the Convention on an 85+ degree day, you
will be doing very well!! At the Convention, you want to practice Bracket
driving versus Best ET driving, as it is a consistent launch and ET that win
the trophy!!

Ron, you know I was trying to figure out how much the wind did help out. I
mean we could not have been any luckier that day, the wind was blowing
directly down the track, and the weather was perfect, a nice cool day. The
track also had great traction. I was thinking would the car get the same
negative if the wind was blowing to the front of the car? Also would the
wind greatly effect the MPH ? I was thinking the same thing, if there was no
wind at all I could pull a 14.6 or 14.7. I guess will find out at the
convention :)

Hey Ryan,
I saw your great stock MTX SHO 1/4 mile time!! Tail wind helps a bit, but I
figure maybe .15-.2 "wind help" at best, so it's still a great stock MTX SHO
time!!
Sounds like a great time this weekend! Unfortunately, family commitments
keep me from attending.
I recommend it to SHO folks within driving distance.
