I'm replying to the list, simply because you said not to ;^)
I wonder how many of the annual 15k miles my wife puts on her SUV are miles
with JUST HER in the car? I'd guess 14k of them. I won't be getting rid of
it any time soon, though. I agree, SUVs are very useful (especially with
our first child coming in a couple of months).
I wonder how many trips said soccer-mom makes in her Exploder actually have
a large number of people along for the ride? I'd guess 10-20%.
Now, I'm not trying to totally disagree with you. I'm about as conservative
as they come! But some of your logic doesn't register with my young
pea-brain.
Oh, and your point about SUV safety baffles me. Sure, SUVs are safer,
unless you're the person in the Civic who gets hit by one!!!
