My Optima also died at about 49 months.  Strange in the way it died, you
could smell Sulfur Dioxide for about a week before it failed.  A full charge
had it going for about a week longer, but I always parked on a hill.  It
would start about everyother time.  Replaced it with a Sears, because they
were close and there weren't anymore hills aroung...
