Like Paul, I thought that these batteries were the greatest thing since
sliced bread, so when I bought one for the '95MTX, I also bought one for the
AWA's Nissan truck.

At the time the Optima in the '93MTX was 3.5 years old and still OK.  It
failed at 49 months also and I was never able to find anyone to even talk
about warranty.  The Optima website listed many firms that either were out
of business or no longer had anything to do with them.

Now the Optima in the Nissan is still OK, but for how long?

Think that the design is good, but that the quality control is lacking.  And
that Optima knows that, so they have reduced their warranty.
