[Shotimes] PF Z pads

Let me throw something else out here.....
In the conversation with Race Shopper, the guy said that we could get the Z
pad in the 598 size if we ordered 100 sets. Don't know how much interest
there is, plus I personally wouldn't do it (order 100 sets!!), although
maybe one of the businesses on the lists would be interested.
Since it seems that PF would do a 100-set run, we could probably deal with
them directly rather than going through Race Shopper or anyone else.
I would order 3-4 sets myself if one of the SHO businesses was interested in
this.

Yep, I just got a call back from RaceShopper. PF is no longer making the
Z-Rated in that size.
The Carbon Metallic are good, and I will get those for my daily street pads.
I was considering getting a pad for track-only use, as the pads on the car
now are about 1/2 worn, and "should" be replaced for Blackhawk, but I
figured that rack pads could be used, and then these would be fine for the
street for awhile. FWIW, I had the PF CM pads on my '89 (original small
brakes) that first time I did Blackhawk Farms in '96, and they worked quite
well.
Since time is running short, I'll probably just get the PF CMs from National
Fleet, not bad for $41.03.

Ron,
THis debate has been going on over at the V8 list (it is actually one of the
few on-topic discussions). I spoke to PF yesterday, they do make the
Highway pad in the 598 size 0598.20 but they do not have the Z rated pad in
the 598 style. BTW: AZ is rumored to stock these now with a part # of
5984.
PS: NPF also lists a 610.10 pad, PF does not make them; maybe that is why
they list them as out of stock.

I've been looking to pick up some 598.10 PF Z-rated pads for the car for the
Convention, and National Fleet Parts has been out of them forever. Plan on
calling Race Shopper tomorrow (they don't sell through their site), but does
anyone else have a reasonable source for the Z pads?
FWIW, www.nationalfleetparts.com gets $41.03 for the 598.20 Carbon Metallic,
and $51.56 for the Z-rated pads (obviously for the 598 pads on my '96 brake
upgrade).
