[Shotimes] Now (OT) rollovers

I agree on the tire issue. This is even the same with MANY SHO folks. They
shop for the high-mileage-guarantee tires.....not understanding hat the
high-mile tires (60-70-80K) are good for nothing but a lot of miles. They
sacrifice dry & wet handling, as well as cornering. False economy, IMHO.

The general public doesn't understand this. (They probably didn't do well
in Physics class either.) We had a well-publicized crash recently where
several teenagers were killed in an SUV (Suburban or similar) when they lost
control on the freeway. I wondered if they would have lost control if they
were in a Taurus. Right after that I overheard a woman complaining to
someone else that she had just totalled her new pickup. And then I hear in
the news where someone was killed in a crash of a Suburban-type vehicle and
was blaming the tires. Some or all of these crashes could have been
prevented if the vehicles involved were taurus's or Camry's or similar.
Plus it seems that most people with used Suburbans seem to put the cheapest
discount-store tires that they can find on their cars. When they buy their
cars somebody needs to give them a big piece of paper with big letters on it
saying "IF YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO DRIVE THEN YOU WILL LIKELY CRASH THIS
VEHICLE AND HURT SOMEBODY. ONCE YOU HAVE READ THIS SIGN BELOW TO
ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU ACCEPT THE INCREASED RISK TO YOURSELF AND OTHERS."
Make them sign it before they leave. When they go to discount-world and buy
a whole set of tires for $98.00 they should have to sign a similar piece of
paper before they leave.
