First of all, what's your name? Haven't seen that on any of your postings.
Second, there is a detailed write up of the water pump replacement on Shotimes. Go to the care and feeding section of the site. Then under Engines click on the heading that says Timing belt, Water Pump, CPS, Crank Seal Replacement for 3.2l ATX. This is a very detailed write-up with pictures! The car is even Red!
Third, even if you have limited knowledge of cars, this is a job that you can do yourself. I had never done extensive work to a car until I bought my SHO and I have now done the 100K mile service, power steering pump, sensors, etc, etc. All it takes is time and patience and a set of decent wrenches. I was quoted anywhere from 400 to 1200 dollars to do the work just in labor. I have saved over 2 grand doing most of the work myself. If that's not a route you want to take, I would seriously consider finding a mechanic that has done work on SHO's before. You don't want to pay this mechanic to learn how to work on your car. I don't know where you are located, but there are people all over who love to work and drive these cars. Just a thought. Good Luck, JB
