In downloading their catalog, they don't have 598 pads, plus they also don't
show the rear pads, either.
They don't even show the Mark VIII, which also had the 598 pads.
Doubt I'll do business with Hawk in the future, as there are other mfrs
making decent parts for us.

I tried to order HPS pads from the Tire Rack for my 99 SHO they have them
listed but they are the 347 part #, not the 96 size pad.

Things must be bad.....responding to my own post!!
Mild rant!
What's with brake pad companies? Are they brain-dead, or just slow? Spent
way too much time trying to get basic info, plus model #s & prices for 598
pads for my '94 w/'96 brakes. The PF site sucks (as it always has), the Hawk
site isn't much better until you download the PDF catalog. Porterfield's
site has errors, and you have to download the catalog, write down the Part
#s & prices, then the search engine blows up! Tire Rack has EBC Green & Red.
Reds look interesting, but T/R gives no part #s. If you go to the only other
EBC distributor from the EBC website, it's brakesrus.com (!!!!), but their
website is "under construction" for the Red pads. Carbotech announces the F
replacements, but has no fitments for SHOs......plus they get a dear price
for their other pads.
Yeah, I could call T/R and verify the part # for the Red pads, but they're
$109 for the fronts, anyway. The other piece of aggravation is that the 598
pad has been around for years now, on a number of Ford vehicles, but you
would think they are more rare than a 427 SOHC motor. Nobody has the
listings right!
Yeah, I could have "punted" and just ordered the PF CMs from National Fleet,
but I wanted to try something different
Sigh!! Gonna do it the old-fashioned way, and call Porterfield's 800#
tomorrow and get the R4S pads for front ($89) and rear ($79).

John., I went to the Tire Rack site, and saw the HPS pads for $56. Also the
HP Plus for a '97 Super Coupe (the other user of 598 pads). I was concerned
that they didn't show that part number.
I then went to Hawk's site, and downloaded the whole Hawk catalog (PDF
file). There are no 598 pads to be found. The HP Plus sounds like what I
want (dust & noise don't bother me....eyeball-popping braking does).
I don't think the Tire Rack pads are 598s.

Ron, check with the TireRack, they sell EBC as well as Hawk brake pads.
I know that Hawk resently added the 598 pad size to the HPS material
(very similar to the CarboTech F), not sure about the HP Plus material
in the 598 pad size. EBC seems to have the 598 pad size in both green
stuff and red stuff materials as well. TireRack prices are;
Hawk HPS $56 (in stock)
EBC green $99 (on back ordered)
EBC red $109 (on back ordered)
Not sure if Josh has any 598 pads in the CarboTech F or better materials
left.
