Well, I received a deposit on my SHO,
My modded, low mileage 95 MTX went for 6k locally, so I pulled it from EBAY
My 97 M3 4 door 5 speed w/ 37k miles arrived this week
First, I'm gonna miss the list! (my e-mail box will feel so empty)
Over the last 5 years, and 2 SHO's, you guys have taught me a lot
I started with a bone stock 95 ATX, and through lots of coaching, i found
myself redoing the suspension, buying mods, and participating in group buys.
Then I got the MTX bug, and moved on to that, and that was fully modded.
This list definatley made owneing the SHO a pleasure, its a true resource.
I got to know several of the local SHOwners better, and I wish I could have
met up at some of the local get togethers
But,
its time to move on
My M3 was in Chicago, and I have to publicly thank Paul Fisher of this list.
He acted as a middleman for me, Meeting the owner for me, handing over the
checks and giving the car a once over to calm my nerves, for this he got to drive
an M3 and will be treated to a nice dinner (Its in the mail Paul, and again ,
thanks) He volunteered his time, as I've seen so many do on this list, and he
was a a true professional.
The SHO was great to me, and I would have kept it a lot longer if I didn't
get the oppurtunity move up to the M3.
Misy SHO going to a Long Island college kid who's moving up from a Taurus GL.
I told him about the list, so keep an eye out for him
The M3 is amazing. Its truly on another level. Yes I its a hell of a lot more
money than our Fords, but it is everything the SHO strives to be. .
The engine is sooo smooth, the power just keeps coming. It seems like the
same amount of Horsepower and torque is available at all revs.
The suspension firm, but never jarring, and the car is so solid
It goes about everything so uneventfully, almost boringly
I can't wait to get to know this car better
I still love the SHO, and I hope this following continues, the car deserves
more respect than it gets
I'll be leaving the list soon, I'll miss you guys
Rich (Now an M3 guy)
