Buy a BMW ;-P
Drove the SHO this morning, for the first time in, well I can't remember...
It wasn't even warmed up yet. Took off slowly in first gear, climbed to
just under 4k, shifted into 2nd, and smoked the clutch! No power shift, no
"gettin' on it", just a nice leisurely shift (need 2nd gear synchros),
clutch pedal all the way out, 2nd gear starts fine, then revs like crazy...
Next thing is the smell of a burnt clutch. Looks like a clutch job will be
in the works when I replace the synchros. :-( Less than 10k miles on that
clutch, too.
