Yes, lean is usually white. Might be worth pulling the intake to take a
look. If nothing special there for #4, it could be a bad injector. I would
think a bad wore would cause a miss.

Pulled the plugs out of the '93 today.  4 of them were light tan to gray.
#4
was very white and #2 was very black.  The black I assume is either
excessive
oil or fuel, or a bad wire; but why the white?  Is this lean?
