[Shotimes] Manny Tranny in an ATX

There are quite a few scenarios in which I could see doing this.
1) My ATX is going out. I have two options: get the ATX rebuilt or have
an MTX installed. End result: same car except with 3.2L MTX combo.
Very nice.
2) My ATX is not going out, but I have a craving for an MTX. Sure, I
could sell my ATX and it would cost me a few dollars to "upgrade" to a
comparable MTX, but there's always a risk in buying another used car. I
know my car, I don't know yours. End result: peace of mind and a 3.2L
MTX combo.
3) My ATX is still not going out, but I have a craving for an MTX. My
ATX is pristine. Body and interior are perfect, like no other daily
drivers I've ever seen. I've looked and looked, but can't find an MTX
that's the color combination I want and is in comparable condition. So,
I put replace the ATX with an MTX. You know the rest.
4) My ATX is, once again, not going out, but I want an MTX. I found a
nice example of a '95 MTX that I want, but it's completely stock,
whereas my ATX has tons of mods. Sure, I could swap all the mods over
to the MTX car (assuming they all work on the 3.0L), but at a
significant cost (either of money or time). In the end, I'd still end
up with a plain MTX, and not a 3.2L MTX combo.
Is it a bother? Yes. Is it a great opportunity for someone who loves
everything about their car except for the tranny? Yes, especially if
said person's ATX is dying.
Take care,

Seems like such a bother. Wouldn't it be easier to just sell the car
and buy a new one?
