[Shotimes] pulley to battery clearance

Do you mean the belt tensioner pulley or the alternator pulley? On the tensioner, the outer pulley can move away from the bearing in the center or the nut on the tensioner pulley can come loose, allowing it to move some. This happened to mine and chewed up a belt once. If the pulley is not lined up with the bearing, it can be pressed (or beaten) back in to place.

Hey, should there be a bit more than a gnat's a-- between the battery and
the pulley on my MTX? The battery is secured with the factory 3 way
bracket, so I'm pretty sure it can't be moved away - so, if the subframe
moved, could this be, or would the fender where the batter attaches have
moved with the subframe?

TIA - gotta get ready for Blackhawk Farms - finally decided to go tonight,
cheese alergy or not - check's in the mail, Don!
