I think you have your reason for this happening in the BIG CLUE
right here........and it is not far fetched....
It is simple and logical....the A/C Clutch replacement..didn't
work, the compressor bearing seized and tore up the belt and the
belt twisted into the other belts as it dropped down and double
wound around the pulleys as they spun.....

and this happened at what speed?????  anyone's guess would be
FAST!!!I can only imagine the teeth grinding noise that was
resounding under the hood as this took place.
